Best way to use a heat pump to save costs?

10:50 ______________________________________________________________________ What is the best way to operate a heat pump in cold climates to save on the electric bill? At a certain temperature should you switch over to emergency heat? What temperature is that? Does it make more sense to keep the temperature at a constant the entire day or should you cut it back when not there? Any tips on saving a little dough? I know at a certain level it will use it anyways but would switching early at a certain temperature range make more sense? Reading a little bit it seems just keeping the temperature constant is the best way to go. Yes during the coldest days you can hit a point where there is little savings however keeping it running is sometime better than cycling it. Xenos. The best way to escape a problem is to solve it.
