Williams Wall Furnace Won’t Start

______________________________________________________________________ I have a williams wall furnace that won’t start up the temperature drops to a point where it should ignite. It behaved like this a while back but then went back to behaving itself. I have bridged the thermostat with no positive results so I’m reasonably sure that isn’t the problem. Any advice for a do it yourselfer? -Mike C. Do you still say I should change the pilot generator? Does the pilot generator do more than simply light the pilot. Incidentally. I lit this pilot witha match. It does not have a button to ignite the pilot liike I’ve seen on some other units. Your advice is greatly appreciated. -Mike Mastertech “Re(1):Williams Wall Furnace Won’t Start” , posted Wed 3 Nov 14:37 ______________________________________________________________________ Does this unit have a fan on it? hburg “Re(2):Williams Wall Furnace Won’t Start” , posted Fri 5 Nov 09:10 ______________________________________________________________________ No fan, -Mike Wolfe “Re(2):Williams Wall Furnace Won’t Start” , posted Wed 3 Nov 20:59 ______________________________________________________________________ Light your pilot. hburg “Re(3):Williams Wall Furnace Won’t Start” , posted Fri 5 Nov 09:06 ______________________________________________________________________ The pilot is lit and stays lit. The pilot is still burning but the furnace just won’t turn on. I guess I should figure out how to measure pilot generator output huh? -Mike [this message was edited by hburg on Sat 6 Nov 18:16]
