Steel wool works well for cleaning it up. Xenos. Thanks for the assistance. By the way, do you have a service manual for this unit? Happy New Year! I might be able to put it in a zip file & E-Mail it if I can figure it out how, my computer illiterate self. I’ll send you a hard copy or disc for postage, if you want, E-Mail for nothing (if I can) or you may be able to contact Carrier directly and have them send you one gratis… Lemmee know. kmoten “Re(6):Carrier 58PAV070-12” , posted Mon 24 Dec 16:30 ______________________________________________________________________ Hi, I have propblem with my furnace. Carrier 58PAV070-12 series 160. Am having a hard time dcoding the LED flash. IT is either 14 or 23. The issue with my furnace is it does not turn on by itself. But I can manually shut the power to the controller/furnace and turn back on ( seems like it needs to reset) Or I can take off the front panel and put it back. I think the safety switch resets the controller and the mechanics. Doing so the fan comes on for 90 min or so and the gas and all kick in as normal. Any help how I can address this issue. You mentioned having a manual for the model. My e-mail is firstname.lastname@example.org Thanks Glass is always half full. I got one used and am putting it in a game room I’m building. Would it work with a 1.5 ton cooling coil on top and a 1.5 ton condensor outside, in Austin, Texas? thanks.
